FAQ
Q. Who can use CHARA?
A. You must be at least 18 years old. You may enter information about another person, including a child in your care, only if you are authorized to do so.
Q. What information is used to generate a name?
A. CHARA sends the nationality, gender, age, height, weight, personality answers, and app language you provide to Google Gemini through our Supabase-hosted service. Your consent is requested before the first generation.
Q. How should I use the generated names?
A. CHARA creates names for entertainment and creative inspiration. AI may produce unusual combinations or readings, so review a name carefully before using it outside the app.
Q. Why is name generation unavailable?
A. Check your internet connection and try again later. Daily or service-wide usage limits may temporarily prevent generation. If the problem continues, email us with the exact message shown in the app.
Q. How do rewarded ads and credits work?
A. When prompted, you can watch an available rewarded ad or use one credit. A reward is granted only after the ad provider confirms completion. Ad availability varies by region and time.
Q. What should I do if a purchase is not reflected?
A. If Apple shows a completed purchase but the credits were not added, email us with the purchase date and product. Do not include payment card or bank details. For refunds or billing issues, visit Apple Support for billing.
Q. Can I restore credits on another device?
A. Credits are consumable and stored on your device. They cannot be restored through the App Store and may be lost if you delete the app or change devices.
Q. How can I withdraw AI consent?
A. Open the app menu and select Revoke AI Consent. CHARA will ask again before sending information to Google Gemini. This does not delete information already processed or stored.
